PREMIER FLY FISHING GUIDE SERVICE IN ARKANSAS
PREMIER FLY FISHING GUIDE SERVICE IN ARKANSAS
We’re a family from West Texas who’ve grown up fishing together. In 2024, we turned that shared experience into a guiding service, offering personalized fly fishing trips. Over the years, we’ve learned what it takes to create memorable days on the water, and now we’re here to share that with others, helping you create your own lasting memories, just like the ones we've made ourselves for so long.
Driven by a love for the outdoors and a commitment to conservation. Whether guiding smallmouth bass or trout fishing trips, we aim to inspire respect for wildlife and leave every place better than we found it. Our focus is on preserving the beauty of the natural world, ensuring future generations can experience it just as we have.
Leave No Trace.
Keep Fish Wet.
Respect Your Planet.
From big rivers to hidden creeks, our trips focus on variety and exploration, showcasing some of the best fly fishing experiences in the Ouachita Mountains and Ozark Mountains. Whether you’re floating in our power drifter, wading streams, smallmouth bass fishing, bird watching, or enjoying other outdoor adventures, each outing is tailored to the season and designed to create a memorable, unique experience.
Please reach us at ryan@farrisflyco.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We’ve got you covered with all the essentials—rods, tackle, drinks, and any specialized gear needed for your trip (plus lunch on full-day outings). All you’ll need to bring are your own sunglasses, weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, sunscreen, and bug spray
Not at all! Beginners, kids, and seasoned anglers alike are welcome on our trips. Fly fishing can be tricky to pick up, but our guides are patient, well-equipped, and love teaching newcomers. If you’re looking to dive deeper and really experience the full rhythm of fly fishing, we especially recommend our wading trips in the Ozark Mountains—they’re a great way to learn hands-on while surrounded by some of the most beautiful water in the region.
Good news, fish are hungry year-round, so you can plan a trip anytime. For the most action, spring and summer are usually the best, especially for warmwater species like bass. Trout fishing remains strong throughout the year, and if brown trout are on your radar, fall is when the bite really picks up. Cooler months may slow down some warmwater species, but there’s always a chance for a great day on the water.
